Project Description

Samascott’s Garden Market has been a local favorite for more than 50 years. It started as a small garden center with 13 greenhouses and a small food market. Fast forward to today, and customers can now browse through a wide selection of perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, houseplants, poinsettias, and hanging baskets.

As its business grew, Samascott turned to Prospiant to furnish and install a new 24,624 square-foot greenhouse to expand its garden center.

The new greenhouse is an attractive addition packed with features that make shopping a more enjoyable experience:

  • Open-air roof with diffused glass
  • 8mm triplewall side wall
  • ½ gable cover
  • Glass front entry
  • Shed extension with double-insulated metal
  • Special materials connection to the existing potting shed

Inside, the greenhouse is equipped with everything needed to keep plants thriving:

  • Multiple layflat curtain zones
  • Unit heaters
  • Horizontal airflow fans (HAF)
  • Ridder roof drives
  • Computer control for all Prospiant-provided equipment
